“It’s not failure if you fail at doing something you’re not supposed to do. It’s success. Because with each success, and with each so-called failure, you’re getting a clearer sense of your calling.” -John Mark Comer
hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet where i share about past projects, current moments and future adventures as i tackle the journey of being a graphic design student living in san diego. I grew up outside of seattle washington, being inspired by deep colors, dramatic landscapes and rainy ambiance, working with wood canvases, dark greens and mainly focusing on mountain landscapes. recently i have made the move to san diego where now my inspiration comes from ocean views, coffee spots and local plants. currently I am working towards a graphic design degree, trying new mediums and experimenting with styles, slowly moving towards my future career! so stoked to share the journey on this website and document the process.
Personal Mission Statement:
In the book, The Second Mountain, written by David Brooks, he emphasizes the idea of viewing the world with an outlook of joy, finding pleasures in the small things, wholeness. Keeping this idea in mind has made me appreciate all moments, whether that is frolicking in flower fields, hiking mountains, swimming in glacier lakes or eating a PB& J in the back of my Subaru Outback. These daily blips of life have made me want to explore design further through all the little moments.
